Privacy policy

ClientCipher is a free, in-browser client ID generator. This policy explains what happens — and what does not happen — with your data.

No data collection

The generator is plain JavaScript that runs entirely in your browser. Randomness comes from your browser's crypto.getRandomValues() function and output is built on your device. Nothing is sent to any server, because there is no server-side component.

No cookies or tracking

ClientCipher sets no cookies, uses no analytics scripts, runs no advertising trackers and stores nothing in local storage or indexedDB. Generated IDs exist only in the page's memory; closing the tab discards them.

Downloads stay local

The ".txt download" button creates the file in your browser via a Blob URL and saves it through your browser's normal download flow. File contents never pass through our infrastructure.

Third parties

We share no data with third parties, because we collect no data to share.
